Eigenstate is a platform for open source, European and non-corporate music gear and software, focusing on dj'ing and music production.
On this site, we explore alternatives to the big players in the music gear and software space. This platform is an answer to disgruntled musicians and dj's who run into high subscription costs and enshittification of their gear.
We strongly believe in community-maintained products and products which are made with love by smaller companies which have close ties to the (dance) music community. Given that we are based in Europe, we also focus more on European products.
This site is built by hand, without the help of AI coding software. Very sparsely, AI chatbots were used to solve small coding problems (mainly Proton's excellent and privacy first Lumo).
